About the session:

Have you ever wondered what we really mean when we talk about wellbeing? Join us for our next Lunchtime Learning session as we delve into this intriguing question with Annalise Roache, President of NZAPP.

Annalise embarked on a significant research journey during her PhD to uncover the meaning of wellbeing from a uniquely Aotearoa New Zealand perspective. Through engaging the public with thought-provoking questions, Annalise crafted a Model of Elemental Wellbeing (MEW) based on their insights.

In this session Annalise will share her methodology and explore how individuals define and describe wellbeing, uncovering what thwarts or supports it.  We'll also delve into MEW's components and discuss how they resonate beyond Aotearoa New Zealand, highlighting their potential universal relevance and comparing them to established Positive Psychology models and theories.

Whether you're new to wellbeing concepts or deeply familiar with Positive Psychology, this discussion promises to deepen your insights and inspire fresh perspectives. Join us as we celebrate the diverse ideas that enrich our understanding of flourishing in our unique cultural context.
